Meaning that we made a conscious effort to make sure that we presented a seamless integration between the deliverables – the workforce did not see them as training or as change management, but a cohesive message giving them an awareness of what was coming, getting them to commit and support the changes, and then giving them the knowledge and skills to execute the change. He attended all the meetings with the instructional design team and was involved with curriculum decision. He also involved the instructional designers in different aspects of the change management program. This insured that all team members were aware of what information was being communicated. Dan also led a change network of managers and supervisors who would, in turn, “coach” 10-15 employees through the changes. Dan created a library of tools for the change network that included monthly newsletters, visual process maps, and other project related materials. Due to the length of the project, Dan was also able to measure readiness through a series of surveys. He used the surveys to scorecards on how ready, willing, and able the work force was. Finally, Dan helped manage the components and personalities of the projects – which there were many.”
